Gilbert Off the Street Art and Music Festival will be coming at the end Of October.
The street will come alive with street performers, food trucks, kids’ activities and, of course, live music. A selection of 15 musicians and bands will be the entertainment this year and will be divided between two stages over the three days.
The Fountain Stage will begin the festival with Jim ‘JIMFab’ Helms. He will be followed by Glencove and Notes From Neptune. Meanwhile, the University Stage will present Marmalade Skies and the Real Thing Band.
The second evening’s entertainment on the Fountain Stage will be Greenfield, Joannah Zamora, 76th Street, Matt Weeter, and Company B. The University Stage will host Nina Speaking and Sumer Knit, and will end with the winner of the Battle of the Bands.
Along with the many arts and crafts vendors selling their original works will be chalk artists who will be participating in the Chalk Art Competition. These artists will be creating chalk murals on downtown sidewalks. This year’s theme for the competition will be ‘Gilbert Kindness’ so the entrants will be depicting thoughtfulness, humanity, or compassion in their work. The town will be using pictures of these chalk art entries for 2018 visitor guide Brochures and on its website.
The Festival is scheduled for October 28 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm in the Gilbert Heritage District in downtown Gilbert.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
