The Children's Heart Foundation will be holding its inaugural Phoenix Congenital Heart Walk here in Gilbert toward the end of September.
The event will be a morning of entertainment, research updates, fun activities, and a one-mile walk.
Those who raise $75 will receive gray T-Shirts sporting the hope, inspiration and unity Logo Design. Other incentives will be Backpacks ($150), trunk organizers ($500), hoodies ($1000), Tumblers ($2500) and weekender and camping tables ($5000).
Registration will begin at 8:30 am followed by the opening ceremony at 9:30 am. The walk will kick off at 10:00 am, and festivities will wind down around noon.
All funds raised will go to the advancement of treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of children's congenital heart defects. This year's goal for our local walk is $40,000.
All walkers two years old and older need to register. Participants may register as individuals, as part of a team or create their own teams.
Local companies and businesses often organize teams for events such as this and/or give Corporate Gifts such as money or in-kind donations.
Individuals may donate $500, $250, $100 or $75 or any other amount online at the event's website.
The 2024 Phoenix Congenital Heart Walk will take place, September 21st from 8:30 am to noon at Gilbert Regional Park, 3005 E Queen Creek Road.
