Two charity cornhole tournaments have been scheduled for Gilbert in August.
Cornhole for Chanda will be a fundraiser for Chanda a local resident facing cancer. Dinner and drinks will be from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by three hours of cornhole.
Single player tickets are $75 and two-team player tickets are $150. Tickets include two drinks, dinner and play.
Cornhole for Chanda will take place Saturday, August 10th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Hole 9 Yards, 868 N. Gilbert Road #105.
Another charity cornhole tournament at this location will be Faith, Hope and Love Brain Tumor Foundation's first annual Battle of the Boards. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. There will also be basket raffles and a 50/50 chance.
Those who sponsor a lane for $1000 will receive admission for one team, eight custom cornhole Bags, two boards and a score tower complete with the company's Logo Design and name. These same amenities will go to $2500 Bar and $3000 Food Sponsorships.
Tickets are $150 per teams of two, $75 for single players and $50 for drinks and food only. Proceeds will go to aid East Valley brain tumor patients and families.
Registration will begin at 1:00 pm and the tournament will run from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
The FHL Battle of the Boards will take place August 25th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
