The free Gilbert Spring Downtown Concert Series, sponsored by Dignity Health, is in full swing. Three two-hour concerts are slated for May.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on the grass area or chairs to be set up in designated areas. Kids must bring their parents or guardians, and can play on the splashpad before the program and at intermission. New this year, food vendors will be onsite selling snacks, food and beverages, but patrons can still bring their own food and drinks from home, or purchase some from local restaurants and downtown eateries before they arrive.
Vintage Wednesday, a rock band from Phoenix, will start the May concert lineup. They will be followed the next week by the Dickensons, a Phoenix rock and roll, R & B, country and pop party band. The final band in the May lineup will be the 74th Street Band. Also a Phoenix-based group, these guys are a four-piece southern and classic rock band. Fans of these groups will no doubt want to check with band members to see if they have any Promotional Products with them for sale.
The first May concert of the Gilbert Spring Downtown Concert Series will be on Thursday, May 10 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm, with the others coming on May 24 and 31 at Water Tower Plaza.
