New this year, Genesis of Chandler will be presenting Sound Bites Music and Food Festival coming to Gilbert in mid-October.
The seven-hour event will feature the High 90's from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the Black Moods from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and our own local band Gin Blossoms from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Fans of bands such as these often go to their websites and purchase wearable items featuring the group's graphic design. They then don the items when they attend the group's performances.
Local merchants will be getting their logo designs out to the public and selling their goods and services. The venue will offer family-oriented activities and games.
Sound Bites Music and Food Festival attendees are advised to bring seating such as chairs and blankets, sunscreen and bug spray.
Food trucks will be onsite selling tacos, burgers, BBQ, cheese steaks, chimichurri, funnel cakes and lemonade and smoothies.
Tickets will be available for $35 starting September 13th and $50 at the door. There will be no admission charge for children under 12 years of age. Cabana rental will be $800 and will include two VIP parking passes, eight adult admission passes, a bar server, and a private cabana with patio extension.
Gates will open at 2:00 pm and parking will be $15 per vehicle.
This inaugural Sound Bites Music & Food Festival will be taking place in Gilbert Regional Park, 12th October from 2 pm to 9 pm.
