Gilbert will be celebrating Halloween with a floating pumpkin patch party, four trunk-or-treats, and a Parks and Recreation annual Glow Run.
Trunk-or-treats, an alternative to going door-to-door for Halloween goodies, will be taking place throughout October. The earliest one will be Friday, October 14 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm at True Health Medical, 4828 S Val Vista Dr. Not long after, Integrity Homes (8:00 pm to 11:30 pm at 428 S. Gilbert Road) and Goddard School (starting at 9:30 pm at 720 E Warner Road) will be having theirs on October 28. Living Word Gilbert, 202 S Gilbert Road, will have its trunk-or-treat from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm on October 30, and the First United Methodist Church will have one on October 31 from 9:00 to 11:00 pm.
Also, Gilbert’s annual Glow Run will take place at Freestone Park, October 21. The two-mile course will be untimed, and the event will be replete with music, black lights, bubbles, glowing markers, glowsticks, laser lights, and a foam party. T-Shirts sporting this year’s Glow Run graphic design will be distributed during packet pickup. Admission is $35 and waves will be released every 15 minutes from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
Finally, East Valley Moms will be holding their Spooky Splash: Floating Pumpkin Patch Party at Goldfish Swim School, 4588 South Higley Road, from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm on October 22. Along with bobbing for pumpkins, the event will feature pumpkin crafts and an inside trick-or-treating trail.
