Gilbert offers appealing festival

Gilbert will be celebrating Arizona Potato Days for two days in mid-April.

This free public festival will offer baked potato treats such as ice cream potatoes, brisket loaded spuds, and other potato favorites like tots, chips, and fries and at the Potato Kitchen. The Big Idaho Potato Truck will be there as a backdrop for picture opportunities, and activities will include bouncy houses, a potato sack slide, and the Spud Slinger. Attendees may also enjoy blowing bubbles from bubbly brew in a horse trough. The Trading Post will have more than 50 local vendors selling goodies and merchandise.

Vendors at events such as this often arrange colorful banner printing so they can hang Banners in their areas to attract customers.

On the Saturday, The Great Potato Race 2025 will have a one-mile loop course dotted with potato-themed obstacles. After a 25-yard potato race, runners will encounter spud-inspired stations starting with the Foil Wrap Race, and then the Potato Dodge, Spud on a Spoon, and The Tater Tot Hop. Toward the end of the course everyone will run through an inflatable tunnel "oven." Finally, runners will complete the last 25 yards in potato sacks.

Potato Days Arizona 2025 will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 12 and end Sunday, April 13 at 9:00 pm at the park. The Great Potato Race will start a little before the opening at 8:00 am on the Saturday.
