Gilbert heads to outdoor expo

Gilbert Outdoors Expo will be coming to Gilbert toward the end of February.

Desert Rivers Audubon will be guiding bird walks from 9:00 am to noon; outdoor cooking demonstrations will run from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, and goat yoga classes will be from 10:30 am to 1:15 pm. Guests may try their axe throwing and archery skills from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Other activities will include wildlife encounters, bird showcase, Solar observations conducted by East Valley Astronomy, scuba gear demonstrations, and fishing games. There will also be a Dino Crew, Tyrannosaurus fossils, pony rides, a story walk guided by the Maricopa Library, and inflatables. For those who enjoy camping with a flair there will be glamping displays, and Pedego Electric Bikes will be giving demonstrations.

Guests may try the rock-climbing wall, and learn fish identification, and casting techniques from pros at fishing clinics.

Food, snacks and drinks will be available from trucks on the site.

Three sponsorship levels - Community sponsor at the $300 level, Activity sponsor at the $600 level and the Presenting sponsor at the $2500 level - are available. All sponsors will get booth space, and recognition at the event. The highest level $2500 Presenting Sponsor will have their Logo Design placed on the event webpage, park Banners and digital ads.

The Gilbert Outdoor Expo will be at Riparian Preserve, 2757 E. Guadalupe Road, February 22nd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
