The Annual Gilbert Sweets Festival is coming to Civic Center Park, 50 E. Civic Center Drive in mid-February.
The five-hour event will have something sweet for everyone. School of Rock will be among other live bands that will be performing on stage. Food vendors will be selling every sweet item imaginable, including donuts, ice cream, candy bars, cotton candy tacos, caramel, fudge, funnel cakes pies, and macaroons. Savory dishes will also be available to off-set any sugar overload. Wine, beer and cocktails will be available for adults.
General admission will be $7 for attendees 12 years old and over. Kids under 12 will get in free. All food and interactive attractions will cost extra, although some crafts will be free.
Kids Zone wristbands can be preordered for $15 and $20 at the event. These are not entrance admissions to the festival itself, but entrance to the Kids Zone. It does include all rides, attractions, and bouncers. Bashas is providing free s’mores with all pre-orders and with the wristbands sold at the event for as long as supplies last.
There will be photo opportunities, including a photo booth for those who wish to have souvenirs. Many families that take pictures at events such as these take the photos to local Stationery printers and have them included in yearly family Calendars or printed on personalized notecards.
Sweets Festival will be February 15, 2020 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.
