Gilbert goes global

Gilbert's annual Gilbert Global Village Festival will be returning at the beginning of April.

The free festival will be a multicultural affair that highlights the local community's cultural diversity.

Members of different cultures will showcase their countries with traditional music, dancing, singing, and storytelling on two stages. At 11:30 am, the Parade of Nations will take place.

Others will be offering workshops and demonstrations for attendees to participate in and learn about all things international, from cooking to crafts. An “Explore-a-Nation” area will see booths set up with a range of cultural activities.

“Religions of the World” will have booths displaying and members discussing traditions that have influenced each religion.

“The Global Marketplace” will feature artisans selling handmade textiles, art, and goods. Local vendors will also be selling cultural drinks and food. Note that there are no ATMs on site; vendors will be accepting cash and cards exclusively.

Sponsorships are still available at the $500, $1000, and $5000 levels. Presenting sponsors at the $5000 level might feel the need to get their Logo Design to the organizers before any the process of banner printing for the event begins.

The Gilbert Global Village Festival will take place on April 6th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on the Gilbert Civic Center Lawn, 50 E Civic Center Drive, at the intersection of Warner and Gilbert Roads.
