Gilbert celebrates the outdoors with expo

Banner Health Center will again be presenting its annual Gilbert Outdoors Expo, which will be coming in late February.

Wildlife organizations, outfitter businesses and related companies will be presenting the latest advances in camping, birding, fishing, hunting, boating, water sports, and hiking. Over 4,000 people attend this event every year.

Activities such as family bird walks, and a walk along the Curandero Trail, dog training and outdoor cooking demonstrations will take place, as well as demos in fly casting and outdoor photography. Brave souls can learn to paddle board and kayak in a class at the Dragon Fly Ramada. Workshops will also be available for the Junior Girl Scout Camping Badge and five requirements of the Brownie Bugs Badge. A Dino Dig will be given by Radical Reptiles. There will be food and beverages for sale, although with no ATMs on the premises, guest will need to bring cash.

Exhibitors will pass out Flyers and Brochures about their goods and services, and information about their locations and business hours. Many booths will also have interactive activities that will allow guests to hone such skills as archery and fishing.

Event Banners will have the names and logos of the sponsors who contribute at the $5,000 level.

The Gilbert Outdoor Expo will be from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm February 24, 2018 at Riparian Preserve, which is at Water Ranch, 2757 E. Guadalupe Road, Gilbert.
