The Second Annual Battle of the Barbecue will be coming to Mother Nature’s Farm at the end of September.
Six local street vendors that specialize in barbecue will be vying for best pulled pork, brisket, and mac-n-cheese honors, as well as Best Overall Barbecue and other Team Awards. The public is invited to vote for their favorites.
Frosted Frenzy Cupcakes and Raeye’s Custom Desserts will be there selling items to top off the barbeque meal. Latino Rebel Band will be performing live music and boutique vendors will have unique items for purchase.
Blushing Peach Art will be doing face painting and an open air photo booth will have guests posing for souvenir pictures. Families that stop for photos at fall events like this often take the pictures to local Stationery printers to be included as their autumn shot in family Calendars.
The Pumpkin Patch will be open and kids can choose which pumpkin they want, then go on over to the decorating area to transform their choices into jack-o-lanterns. Other fall activities will be hay rides and a maze. Non-fall activities will include bouncy houses, backyard games, and a visit to the farm animals.
Tickets run from $5 adult and $10 kids general admission, to the $45 so-called ‘V.E.P. Pass’.
Battle of the Barbecue 2019 will take place Saturday, September 28 from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at 1663 East Baseline Road.
