Independence Day is coming soon and the Gilbert area will have quite a few celebrations coming up.
Gilbert’s July 4th Celebration will be free at Higley High School again this year from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The venue will have lawn games and food trucks selling summer treats before the fireworks at 8:30 pm. Everyone is encouraged to get there early and bring chairs, blankets, coolers, and plenty of water. Higley High School is located at 4068 E. Pecos Road.
There will be three other viewing options, too. One will be at the Centennial Elementary School Parking Lot; another will be at the Legacy Traditional Academy on Recker Road and the third will be at the parking lot at the Higley Unified School District Administration building. Other viewing sites and parking places will have Signs along Pecos and Recker roads.
Meanwhile Chandler will be having its own Independence Day celebration in Tumbleweed Park, 2250 McQueen Road. Theirs will begin at 6:30 pm with fireworks at 9:00 pm. Although the event will be free, parking will be $5 per vehicle. The venue will have music and plenty of park amenities to keep the little ones busy. Families may also opt to bring some activities and games of their own.
Many families like to commemorate the day by getting colorful T-Shirts printed with a catchy family graphic design for each member.
