Dignity Health presents musical event

Gilbert Parks and Recreation will be having its Riparian after Dark event in a few days. The two-weekend event will be presented by Dignity Health.

The Riparian Preserve will come alive with light displays and hundreds of luminaries lighting the trail around Water Ranch Lake. More than 1,000 guests are expected each night.

Carolers, school choirs, bands, vocal and instrumental soloists, and other local talent will be on hand to offer live entertainment. Each group or individual will have between 15 minutes to a half an hour to perform. Light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Each night a local nonprofit organization will be featured and the event will collect items to support that organization’s programs and services. Past recipients have been the United Food Bank, House of Refuge, and Maricopa County Animal Shelters. This year’s recipients have not yet been announced.

Three sponsorships will be available – Presenting sponsors will be the $5,000 level, Luminary sponsors will be the $500 level, and Community sponsors will be the $300 level. Presenting sponsors will receive booth space for all four nights, e-mail recognition, social media posts, and onsite recognition such as Banners and Signs.

The event will be held for four days – December 9 and 10, and December 16 and 17. Times will be from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch is located at 2757 Guadalupe Road here in Gilbert.
