Once again, Dignity Health will present it Gilbert Global Village Festival early in April.
The 16th annual festival will bring together community members, including service organizations, nonprofits, and schools in a celebration of other cultures’ contemporary and traditional Forms of music, arts and crafts, children’s activities, and dance.
Entertainment will be in genres such as storytelling, dance, vocal and instrumental music, and martial arts. Most acts will be from 20 to 30 minutes long.
Exhibitors will be in the Explore-A-Nation area with interactive games, science, history, and cultural displays about their specific countries.
Food vendors will be onsite selling ethnic foods from cultures around the world. Many may need to get some banner printing or sign painting ordered, as all advertising materials must look professional.
Merchandise vendors will also be on hand. Festival attendees will want to look for the booth selling Mugs with this year’s event graphic design on them. As in past years, many guests buy these Mugs as souvenirs.
For Valley Bike month, Valley Metro and Gilbert are inviting festival goers to participate in ‘Bike Around the World’ by riding their bikes to the event. ‘Bike Around the World’ swag will be given to bikers and space will be reserved for bike parking.
Gilbert’s Global Village Festival will be April 4 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on the Gilbert Civic Center North Campus. The Parade of Nations will begin at 10:30 am.
