Gilbert and holiday revelers in the surrounding region are welcome to attend a free Happy Holiday Movie in the Park in time for the big day.
The venue will not have admission or parking fees and is pet friendly. Everyone is encouraged to wear pajamas and bring chairs, blankets, and friends for a movie on the big screen.
This year’s holiday classic will be The Polar Express. This Tom Hanks film is an adventure tale of a boy doubting Christmas taking a journey to the North Pole on an extraordinary train ride. He receives a silver bell from Santa to help him believe in the holiday. Poster printing shops have been turning out the movie’s iconic train Posters and Flyers since 2004.
DJ Jonny will spin holiday tunes before the movie. The balloon twister will be charging a small fee for balloon animals. Specialty food trucks will offer hot chocolate and other seasonal treats for purchase, while other food trucks will sell dinner and dessert-type fare to offset the candy canes that will be given away. Guests can also get some shopping done at the PopUP Holiday Shopping area.
Happy Holiday Movie in the Park will be Saturday, December 19 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Heather Glen located at N Hartford and W HeatherGlen Streets, Chandler. The park will open at 5:00 pm.
