A large variety of events are happening around Prattville to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary this summer.
The back-to-back festivities are all happening on July 4, beginning in the early morning, starting with the 4th of July Farmers Market at 7:00 am. The event is held until noon at 332 Doster Rd in Prattville and includes locally sourced baked goods, honey, jams, and meat.
Then, at 9:00 am, is the Prattville 4th of July Parade at the Downtown Historic District. There will be a Lion’s Club BBQ from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 460 Doster Rd, which includes local vendors, inflatable attractions, and live music.
A Rock the Lot event kicks off from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at 1557 Cotton Exchange. A live DJ, food trucks, and beverage carts will all be available.
The night will be capped off with the Prattville Fireworks Show at Clock Tower Hill at 8:30 pm.
The activities are all made possible with support from the City of Prattville’s Cultural Arts Department. With a mission to enrich the community through performance and interactive activities, the Cultural Arts Department helps to back a variety of different events in the city, with the overall goal of uniting the community.
