Memorial Day concert comes to Prattville

The Prattville Pops is ringing in Memorial Day with a concert at The Lyric at Esther’s in Prattville this May.

Instrumentalists from a variety of backgrounds who share a bond in music will take the stage for the event. There will also be a multitude of local food venues to choose from.

With their penchant for everything from marches to classical overtures and high-tempo rhythms, the Prattville Pops Concert Band is a 35-member band exclusively using percussion and wind instruments.

Over the years, members of the band have cycled in and out, coinciding with the changing population of Prattville’s large military presence, with over 100 Prattville Pops alumni members to date.

The Pops had a humble beginning with only 15 members. Since its formation in 2002, under the auspices of the then-band director Ronnie Mallory, the concert band has grown substantially since its debut concert for the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in front of City Hall.

Thanks to an ongoing sponsorship from the City of Prattville and the city’s Creative and Performing Arts Council, the Pops continue to provide concerts to the community to this day.

Concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create Signs for Memorial Day celebrations, vendors, and stages.

Prattville Pops Memorial Day Concert: Live is happening on Friday, May 22 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at The Lyric at Esther’s at 124 W Main St in Prattville.
