Rock legends to perform in Montgomery

A rock band that has been around for decades will be heading out on tour, and they will be making a stop in Montgomery in early January.

Kansas is a group that dropped their debut record in 1974. With a total of 20 albums, five of those being recordings of live performances, the band has made a name for itself in the industry. Hits such as “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust In The Wind” are still popular today. Current band members include David Ragsdale, Tom Brislin, Billy Greer, Phil Ehart, Ronnie Platt, and Richard Williams.

The Point Of Know Return Tour is the band’s celebration of their album by the same name. In this show, the album is performed in full, along with a few hits and songs from the most recent album, called The Absence Of Presence.

The VIP package for this event includes a reserved premium seat, an autographed photo of the group, a drumhead, a tote bag featuring the band’s Logo Design, a CD, a poster, and a tumbler. This will cost buyers $247.

Regular tickets range from $42 to $97. Parking has fees that increase with the amount of time the vehicle will be in the lot. Special events may increase the standard price. For hotel guests, there is a valet option, as well as self-parking.

The concert will be taking place at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. It will start at 7:30 pm on January 8.
