A magical and festive experience is set to occur at the Montgomery Zoo from early to late December. Poster printing will often be used to promote seasonal events at similar venues.
The Christmas Lights Festival opens the gates to guests each December, allowing them to have a unique holiday experience. The staff puts up an intricate light and decoration display throughout the zoo. There is also a display of at least 20 Christmas trees, as well as Santa and his elves inside a winter wonderland setup put together at The Mann Museum. The zoo offers train rides, entertainment, a petting zoo, shopping, and snacks at their Overlook Cafe.
Tickets to early Santa visits followed by the light show will cost guests $25. The events are free for those with a zoo membership. The combined price for guests allows the party to remain in the zoo between the two events. Those who do not enter by 4:00 pm will be required to wait until 5:30 pm. Train rides will be $3 for each rider, which counts for one round. While visiting Santa is free, photos will cost $5.
For safety, a shield will be between Santa and his visitors, the trains will be cleaned between each run, and capacity limits will be listed. Visitors are required to practice social distancing and wear their face coverings.
The festival will repeat nightly from December 3 to December 25. Each night, the events will last from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
