A woman with a long-lasting career in the music industry will be bringing her legendary presence to Montgomery in mid-February.
Gladys Knight has won seven Grammy awards, along with several legend/icon awards. Some of her records include “Midnight Train To Georgia,” “Settle,” “This Is Our Time,” and “I Heard It Through The Grapevine.” She has appeared on television and in film, including runs on both Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer. Her career first took off when she was a member of Gladys Knight and The Pips (originally known as The Pips). Her works have earned her the nickname of The Empress Of Soul.
An Evening with Gladys Knight will bring together songs from the many eras, both old and new. The venue, the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre, requires guests of all ages to have a ticket in order to be granted entry. Smoking is prohibited throughout the premises. Poster printing is often used in the promotion of concerts.
Tickets range from $49.50 to $265, and they can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Those seeking any special accommodations are asked to directly contact the venue’s box office in order to complete the purchase and ensure that their needs are met. The hours and contact information can be found on the venue’s website. The site can also provide directions and details on parking.
The show will begin at 7:30 pm on February 18.
