An artist in Montgomery will be combining multiple elements to create a new twist on the popular event that is an art class. This activity will take place in late April.
Simplie Kimmie is the instructor for the Paint, Sip, & Shop: Mother’s Day Watercolor Workshop. She will be teaching attendees many skills, starting out with basic techniques and eventually finishing the event with a floral-themed watercolor painting. Each guest will end up with a unique painting that they will be able to take home and display. Wine will be available for everyone who is aged 21 or older, but the class itself is open to all ages. A few small snacks will also be available. Flyer printing will often be used when promoting similar activities. A raffle will be held for guests that sign up and share the event with their friends and on social media.
The venue is the Jo Wells Boutique. Those who arrive before and stay after the workshop will have an opportunity to shop from the merchandise in the store. The options include clothes, jewelry, handbags, hats, shoes, and kids’ clothing items. An online store is available for those wanting to see what the boutique offers prior to the event.
Tickets will cost $40, and can be found through the Eventbrite website. The class will last from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on April 23.
