Zoo to host prehistoric event

Montgomery Zoo will be hosting the second and currently final session of a prehistoric-themed event in mid-November. The first session of this event is in late October.

The Dino Dig allows kids to play in the dirt while they learn about creatures from times before ours, as well as some that are still around. They will get to try their hand at archeology, including digging up and dusting off animal bones.

In addition to this, staff will host presentations live while the digging goes on, as well as having a lesson plan. Adults or older children will need to accompany the participants for this activity. At the end, a gift bag of keepsakes and Promotional Products will be given to the guests.

Tickets will cost $28 for kids aged 4 to 12, or $20 for those with a zoo membership. The teens or adults who will bring the children will need to pay $17, unless they are a zoo member. The adult ticket is free for the members. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Registration needs to be finalized by 12:00 noon on November 12.

The first date of this event is October 30. The second, which is the last one on the schedule at this time, is November 13. The dig is set to occur from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on both days.
