Support and wellbeing programme to be launched in Helensburgh

People living in Helensburgh and the wider area will be able to benefit from a brand new programme to improve their mental and physical health.
Set to launch in 2024, the health and social care partnership (HSCP) for the area is currently working out the details of this scheme, which will be called Living Well. The idea is to provide local people with a variety of support services to help with both physical and mental health, as well as their social wellbeing. Specialist support workers, physiotherapy and rehabilitation may be among them.

Alongside that sort of one-on-one help, the programme may also offer group support that helps people to feel more confident about making changes that improve their lives. Stationery printers in Helensburgh can help organisations like the HSCP to produce literature detailing new programmes once they are finalised.

Linda Currie from Allied Health Professionals told the Helensburgh Advertiser that:
“I am excited to be part of the team implementing the wellbeing pathways. I want to thank our partners for working with us collaboratively and look forward to the service being launched for people across Argyll and Bute.”

Helensburgh and other towns in the borough will get their own support workers when the wellbeing scheme is launched. At the moment, this is expected to be sometime early next year.
