Plans are in motion to replace several of the streets Signs throughout Helensburgh that have been broken or become faded over time, according to the local council.
The recent meeting of the Helensburgh and Lomond area committee for Argyll and Bute Council saw the problem of damaged and faded Signs raised, but it is also one that people living in the town have been trying to draw attention to for several years. Now the councillors for the ward, Gemma Penfold and David Kinniburgh, have stated that Plans to install fresh ones where needed are underway.
According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, the two councillors put out a leaflet that contained a statement reading:
“Over the last few months Councillors Kinniburgh and Penfold have compiled a list of street Signs that are faded and in need of replacement in Helensburgh and Lomond South.”
This statement then went on to add that new Signs are in the process of being made and will be fitted as part of a works programme in the future. Flyer printing shops in the town can provide bulk quantities of council leaflets like this one.
The statement in the leaflet concluded by saying that members of the public should let either of the councillors know about any sign that needs replacing. It is hoped that the work can be completed by April 2022.
