A young dancer who lives in Helensburgh is hoping that the New Year will see her add to what is already an impressive haul of trophies, for competitive Highland dancing.
Eilidh Gammons is seven years old and
a pupil at the town’s Margaret Rose School – which teaches various Forms of dance – and despite her tender age, she has already enjoyed a remarkable degree of success in her chosen field.
The youngster is the holder of several Highland dance titles – including Granite City champion, Scottish National champion, Scottish champion, and Commonwealth champion.
Her teachers at the school have stated that she has already surpassed all expectations they could have had for her at such a young age, but she is keen to make 2016 as successful as the previous year was.
The school has already resumed classes for this year, with the pupils – including Eilidh – now focusing their energies and talents on the upcoming competitive dance season.
However, alongside this, Eilidh and her fellow dancers will also participate in a range of charity events in the local area, as well as the Sing for your Supper night at the Helensburgh Savoy and several Burns Suppers, during the forthcoming months.
Local facilities like the Margaret Rose School can always rely on flyer printing to help advertise the different dance events they are staging throughout the year.
