A brand new restaurant could be added to the increasingly varied dining offer in Helensburgh later this year, with the news that Plans for it have been given the nod by the local council.
The council’s planning committee approved the change of use application that was submitted for a vacant unit in the centre of Helensburgh. This space formerly housed the eco-friendly refill outlet called Rossdhu Refills but is currently lying empty. Now it looks likely to become home to the latest eatery in what is an increasingly appealing and varied drinking and dining scene in the town.
The chosen site is on West Princes Street and Harold Hood Ltd is the company that submitted the application to change its use from a retail space to a restaurant or cafe. Flyer printing shops in Helensburgh can be a real help to the owners of new dining outlets when they first open and need to advertise themselves to local people.
This application was supported by MH Planning Associates, a company based within the town. It submitted a statement in aid of the Plans that pointed out that any potentially unsightly aspects, such as the kitchen extractor flue, would be situated out of sight and thus would not affect the overall look of the area.
No word on when work to transform the unit will get underway has been announced.Get a Free Quote for Plans
