More than £350,000 worth of money for these parks has been agreed by Argyll and Bute Council. This follows a consultation process with local people to get ideas about how best to use £938,000 that had been specially set aside for the provision of facilities for children’s play. Helensburgh is set to receive a total of £368,500 from that pot.
After the consultation had been completed, the council met to discuss the various proposals. It has decided on the creation of special play areas at public parks throughout the town, including Kidston Park and Hermitage Park. The former will have £20,000 spent on it, while for the latter it will be £30,000.
Flyer printing from local Print shops in Helensburgh is one of the ways the council can choose to advertise the parks to families, once they have been constructed.
Ross Moreland from the council told the Lochside Press that:
“Throughout this process, it’s been clear how much value our local communities place on children and young people having easy access to good quality play parks that offer a safe, fun environment.”
Work on the projects will begin next year.Get a Free Quote for Print
