Clydebank Armed Forces Day

On Sunday past, Clydebank saw the annual Armed Forces Day parading through the town.

The Royal Regiment of Scotland lead the procession which is held both to remember the sacrifice of those injured or killed in past or present conflicts as well as a way for the public to turn out and recognise what our armed services do.  It is not just current service people who parade but also veterans, cadets and scouts too.

Local minister Rev Gregor McIntrye leads the service with the Provost and Lord Lieutenant for Dunbartonshire also participating in the event.  Members of the public can attend the church service or also line the streets.

For those who were not able to attend the Sunday events, a further event on Monday was held at the local Council’s offices at Garshake Road where a flag raising ceremony was held.

Events such as these can benefit from using local printers to produce publicity items like Flyers listing and promoting all that is happening.
