Work on business park gets underway in Dunfermline

Work is now underway on the construction of a brand-new Dunfermline business park that is set to provide space for both new companies and ones looking to expand.

This £1.5 million facility is set to be called Fife Interchange North business park, and it will be located at a site on Sandpiper Drive in Dunfermline. This places it on the outskirts of the town, alongside the M90 motorway and to the north of the Amazon warehouse. The funding for the construction of the park was provided by Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal.

There will be a number of sections of land at the site that can be developed straight away by companies that are interested, as well as units that will be targeted at firms looking for space to expand and start-ups with innovative ideas.

Companies moving into the park will have the option of using local shops that supply printed Business Cards if they need them for networking events.

Speaking to the Dunfermline Press, Altany Craik from the local council stated that it was a fantastic development for the region, before going on to say that:

“This City Region Deal project will deliver essential infrastructure at Fife Interchange North to provide greater opportunity to attract major investment.”

The scheduled date for the park to be completed is the end of the year.
