Punk rock legend to play Dunfermline show

One of the legends of the punk rock scene will come to Dunfermline later this year for a solo acoustic show.

Hugh Cornwell made his name as the lead singer for The Stranglers during the 1970s and 1980s. He led the band during its most celebrated era, which produced hits like No More Heroes, Peaches and Golden Brown. Cornwell left the band at the start of the 1990s and has since enjoyed a lengthy solo career.

He is now taking to the road again for a series of acoustic shows and the tour is being called Never Say Goodbye. Despite that name though, Cornwell insists that it will be his last solo tour, so his many fans in Dunfermline will not want to miss it.

The venue for his show in the city will be Carnegie Hall and the set list will include The Stranglers classics and more recent tunes. Local venues often use poster printing by Dunfermline shops to provide them with advertising Posters for upcoming shows.

In addition to the music, Cornwell will also share stories from his long career in the music industry. He will be taking part in a Q&A session too, so fans will have the opportunity to ask anything they want.

This will be the first time he has played alone with an acoustic guitar in nearly a decade.

Cornwell will visit Dunfermline on 14 November.
