This band is no ordinary tribute act; it is made up of musicians who were part of her band during her short career. Since her tragic death 15 years ago, they have toured all over the world and helped to keep her catalogue of songs alive. Now they are set to hit the road again, to mark the 20-year anniversary of her most iconic album, ‘Back to Black’, and one of the shows will be in Dunfermline.
The venue for it will be the Alhambra Theatre and the band will perform the album in its entirety. ‘Back to Black’ was originally released in 2007, to critical acclaim and commercial success. It was a number one smash that turned the singer into a superstar.
People who go to live rock concerts often like to take fan Banners with them. Dunfermline is home to banner printing outlets, so that is an option that they have.
Dale Davis is the bass player for the Amy Winehouse Band. Speaking with the Dunfermline Press, he said:
“It’s still an honour, pleasure and privilege to be performing these songs from this timeless classic.”
The band will tour the album early next year, reaching Dunfermline on Saturday 27th March.
