The Alhambra Theatre Trust is already at the stage of putting together initial Plans, with a period of a year and a half having been set aside for the opening stage of development. This will see two rooms for rehearsals built, with one of these also set to be used as both a cinema and an intimate theatre space. The name that has been chosen for the school is the Ironmongers Studio.
Fife Council gave the Plans the green light during the spring and the trust is hoping that the stage school will be a place for innovative theatre shows to be put on. The chosen site for it is in New Row, Dunfermline.
When new venues open, they sometimes choose to stock promotional Pens with their name on them, as a subtle way of getting the word out to more people. This particular venue will have a restaurant, retail area, cinema and 200-seat auditorium among other amenities.
Speaking to the Dunfermline Press, an Alhambra spokesperson said:
“The Ironmongers Studio will give young people the opportunity to stretch the imagination and build self-confidence, within fun and exciting unique classes, workshops and projects.”
The spokespoerson added that arts training for young people will be central to its vision.Get a Free Quote for Pens Get a Free Quote for Plans
