The Skids to play Dunfermline show

A band that originally hailed from Dunfermline and that enjoyed success during the punk rock era of the late 1970s have announced that they will be returning to the town for a special gig.

The Skids had chart hits during that period, including ‘Into the Valley’, but later disbanded. They have since reformed and are scheduled to release a brand new album later this year, which will be promoted with a unique concert at Dunfermline Abbey. It will make them the very first rock band ever to perform live at this venue, ensuring it is even more of a must-see for fans.

Poster printing from outlets in Dunfermline is one method that the organisers of upcoming gigs in the town can use when they are looking to promote them to music fans.

In addition to being able to hear the band perform songs from the new album live at the concert, attendees will also be able to purchase limited edition Copies of it that will be available only for those at the gig. The band’s new album is entitled ‘Destination Dusseldorf’ and it sees them collaborate with the likes of ex-Strangler Hugh Cornwell and Youth.

The Skids have already stated that they consider their latest record to be among the strongest they have produced during their career. They will be playing at Dunfermline Abbey on 30th June.
