Summer completion date set for Dunfermline development

The transformation of a disused Dunfermline site into a brand new housing development is proceeding despite the pandemic, with the summer of next year set as the completion date.

This development is being built on Townhill Road in Dunfermline, at a spot that was formerly occupied by Hillpark House. That Victorian-era building was knocked down five years ago and local company Premier Homes Scotland subsequently bought the land with the aim of building houses there. The finished small-scale development is set to be made up of one home with five bedrooms, and three that have four bedrooms.

Premier Homes Scotland is owned by spouses Carol and Steve Williams and, speaking to the Dunfermline Press, Carol said that there had already been considerable interest in the homes, with three sold ahead of completion. Brochure printing from shops in Dunfermline is sometimes used to show off new homes.

Carol added:

“The first two homes are well on their way to completion and Premier Homes Scotland have registered them respectively as Hillpark East and Hillpark West to commemorate the historical neighbourhood identity of the site.”

She concluded by saying that work on the remaining houses would get underway at the start of next year, with July 2021 having been set as the absolute latest date for the completion of the housing development.
