Skate park in Dunfermline to be refurbished

Work to refurbish and improve a skate park in Dunfermline looks set to finally get underway, now that both a plan and the necessary financing are in place.

The skate park in question is the one situated within the Public Park and this project has been a long time in gestation. The money needed to carry out the work had to be found and there was also a public consultation. This was intended to allow users of the park to have a say on what features should be included. Their feedback was then incorporated into the final design.

That has been created by Bendcrete, the company that landed the tender for the job after a bidding process. The total cost of the project is expected to be around £300,000.

Banner printing is a great way to showcase local works being done and advertise local facilities such as this.

James Calder from the council told the Dunfermline Press that everyone was delighted it was moving forward. He then went on to add:

“This has been a true community effort, and it’s fantastic to see the dedication and hard work of the Dunfermline Skate Park Group pay off.”

The work will get going during the spring and the park should reopen in summer.
