Scottish Baker of the Year to be judged in Dunfermline

It has recently been announced that the Scottish Baker of the Year 2014 judging day will happen in Dunfermline at the Carnegie Conference Centre this week.

Scottish customers have been voting for the best bakers, and 2nd April will see some of the top bakers present their products in front of a panel of judges.

AllmediaScotland.com says that Robert Ross, the head judge, will have a long day of judging the hundreds of products expected to be at the event. There will be a mixture of savoury and sweet items, including loaves, scones, biscuits and cakes.

Mich Turner MBE, celeb cake designer and TV judge, believes that the judges will have a hard job because of the high quality products he has witnessed in Scotland. He is set to present the awards to the winners who will be announced in May, and this will happen in Glasgow.

Last year’s contest received a lot of interest, with more than 200 bakers involved and around 15,000 voters. The winner in 2013, Andre Sarafilovic, says his business has grown stronger and stronger since, and he has been able to continue providing the best for his customers.

The hope is that this year, more bakers and customers will be involved, so more people can celebrate the thousands of top baking wizards across Scotland. A good way to increase consumer interest is to make use of poster printing in Dunfermline.
