New opportunity for start-ups in Dunfermline

Entrepreneurs and start-up businesses within Dunfermline are set to be handed a unique opportunity to target the festive shopping crowd with their services and products later this month.

This innovative scheme is open to all newly launched companies that started with help from the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme and it will see the firms that take part setting up temporary stores within Dunfermline’s Kingsgate Centre. It is due to run for a period of two weeks, between the 21st November and 2nd December.

Businesses involved in the programme will be based out of a unit that is located across the floor from the Marks & Spencers. The manager of the centre, Neil Mackie, has now handed over the keys to Marissa Yassen, the senior enterprise executive for the Prince’s Trust.

Speaking to the Dunfermline Press, Yassen stated that she wanted to thank everyone connected with the centre for providing the youthful entrepreneurs from the programme with such a great opportunity, adding:

“We look forward to receiving the support of the people of Dunfermline and beyond and hopefully this can be a stepping stone to bigger things for these entrepreneurs as well as inspiring the next generation of young people into business.”

Many new businesses are able to rely on places that offer catalogue printing to show off their products.
