Over a thousand new homes are set to be built at a location in Dunfermline, after the local council gave the nod to a revised application submitted by the developer.
Taylor Wimpey will build a development consisting of 1,400 homes on a sizeable piece of land between Kingseat and Halbeath in Dunfermline. In addition to this housing, the project will also see the construction of a brand-new primary school and will feature amenities for use by people living there, and for shopping.
The company initially submitted its proposals three years ago and they were accepted by the council. However it opted to make some small changes to them to improve the design of the planned footpath and roads that will form part of the project.
Brochure printing provided by shops in Dunfermline can help housing developers to showcase new schemes that they have built to potential tenants and buyers.
This particular scheme will also involve the construction of a Northern Link Road with a bridge going across the Fife Circle rail track, replacing the level crossing. The idea is to ease traffic congestion in the centre of Dunfermline.
Under the revised proposals, just one footpath will be created on its southern side, rather than one on both sides as was originally planned. In addition, there will now be a signalised junction provided rather than a small roundabout.
