Mixed use development proposed for Dunfermline

A developer has put forward Plans for a mixed use project in Dunfermline that would be built at a site adjacent to a brand new multimillion-pound super campus.

Shepherd Offshore is proposing to build a development that would consist of 450 new homes, as well as a care home with space for 90 people, petrol station, coffee shop, restaurant and pub at the site. The chosen location is a piece of land that has been lying vacant for well over a decade and that sits right next door to where the major college campus is set to be built.

The developer has submitted its plans for the site to the council for planning permission, and has indicated that it is speaking to various construction firms that would be interested in working on the project if it gets the go ahead.

Local companies often look to shops in the Dunfermline area that will provide them with high-quality, professional-looking Business Cards to help them make contact with other firms.

The area of land Shepherd Offshore hopes to use for this project already has 225 houses on it, but a considerable portion of the site is still empty.

Fife Council planning committee will review the application and is expected to reach a decision about whether it can move forward by the end of spring.
