What's Happening in Dunfermline, Scotland…

Legendary rockers to come to Dunfermline

An alternative rock band with a legendary reputation will be playing a show in Dunfermline next year, as one of the stops on a planned tour of the world.

The Pixies is a band that needs no introduction to music fans, having attained iconic status. The band was originally active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, during which it released several classic albums. They include the likes of Surfer Rosa, Doolittle and Bossanova. Having split up in 1993, the band reformed a decade later and is now set to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a world tour.

This will see it visit numerous countries and cities, with Dunfermline being one of them. The venue for their show in the city will be the Alhambra Theatre, and tickets for it are sure to be in serious demand.

Local venues usually seek to promote their upcoming live shows, often by making use of Dunfermline print shops that can create promotional products. These can then be given away to the public.

Fans of the band that manage to get tickets for this show can expect to hear both classic and new songs. Lead singer Black Francis and his bandmates are almost guaranteed to play the likes of ‘Where is my Mind?’, ‘Monkey Gone to Heaven’ and ‘Debaser’.

The Pixies are scheduled to play live in Dunfermline on Thursday 21 May 2026.
