The man who comically picks apart the latest trending stories online is heading to Dunfermline next year as part of his upcoming tour.
Frustrated news journalist Jonathan Pie has become a star of the internet since he was first created by comic Tom Walker, and he will be bringing his hugely popular act to Dunfermline next spring. The tour is being called ‘Fake News (The Corona Remix)’.
The three previous live shows Walker has toured as his fictional character Jonathan Pie have seen him sell-out major arenas, including the London Palladium and the Hammersmith Apollo. The character has 1.5 million Facebook followers, and his satirical videos frequently become viral sensations on the internet, shared by fans around the world.
In his latest show, he is set to talk about the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about throughout the world, and the effect that it has had on his career as a crusading journalist pursuing the truth.
Upcoming shows like this are sometimes advertised in the local area through the widespread use of poster printing, often provided by nearby shops.
Jonathan Pie will be coming to the Alhambra on 6th May next year, with the show scheduled to start at 7pm at the Alhambra Theatre. Fans will be able to buy tickets from the box office at the theatre or on its website.
