This year’s Dunfermline Children’s Gala was originally cancelled earlier in the year, when the lockdown restrictions were put into force, but now those behind the event have had a change of heart and decided to put together an online version that local people can enjoy from home. The organising committee has come up with a number of ways in which families in Dunfermline and the wider area can celebrate.
These include putting on fancy dress, taking part in activities like games, karaoke or dancing, holding picnics in their gardens, and putting up bunting. People also have the option of using Print shops that provide banner printing services to help them decorate their homes for special events like this.
Residents are being encouraged to share photos on the day on the official social media pages for the gala, with its chairperson Gary Love telling the Dunfermline Press:
“We have had a gala since 1902 and, while it will not be the same as meeting in person, we believe that the next best thing is to come together on a virtual basis to celebrate the day, have fun and enjoy ourselves.”
The virtual gala will be taking place on 27th June.Get a Free Quote for Print
