Central Dunfermline Community Council put together the event, with Dunfermline Public Park serving as the location, and thousands of locals turned out for it.
Those who attended found plenty for all ages to enjoy, ranging from arts and crafts and food stalls to more energetic activities like pony rides, skateboarding and American football. There was also live music on offer, courtesy of Sambangra and the town’s pipe band, all bathed in glorious sunshine.
Speaking to the Dunfermline Press, Jim Stewart, the chairman of the community council and organiser of the festival, said:
“For us, the weather makes it and it was probably the best day we’ve had yet in our four years. The event uses all the space in the park so folk could go round and explore the whole park.”
He went on to add that various companies had supported the event, including bouncy castles from Inflatable Hire Scotland, and archery and circus skills activities from Canvas Holidays.
