The Outwith Festival was a massive hit with local people in its inaugural year and this has led to organisers deciding to make the 2018 version a five-day event, rather than four. As with last year, it is being put together by Dunfermline Delivers and this group is now seeking input from the public and artists over the programme.
A number of other local organisations will be teaming up with Dunfermline Delivers to make the festival happen. These are Write Rammy, a publishing consultancy; Avocado Sweet, an arts magazine and Fire Station Creative.
One of the festival’s top priorities is to provide local people that have artistic talent with a platform to develop it, and last year’s event gave playwright David Colvin his big break. Dunfermline Delivers events manager Chris Foote told the Courier that:
“Over the coming years, we want to attract UK artists and performers but we’re keen to keep a strong local input to this festival. All the festival partners are either from Dunfermline or have lived here for a long time.”
This year’s Outwith Festival will take place between 5th and 9th September. Events like this often use banner printing for promotional purposes.
