Popular and long-lasting duo The Proclaimers have confirmed that they will be coming to Dunfermline next year to play a show, as live entertainment continues to hot up post-pandemic.
The Proclaimers are brothers Charlie and Craig Reid, and they launched their career back in the 1980s with the smash hit single ‘Letter from America.’ Since then, they have achieved further chart success with the likes of ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’, and have gone on to sell over five million albums across the world.
Now they will be hitting Dunfermline, with the chosen venue for their gig in the town being the Alhambra Theatre. Local venues often look to poster printing outlets in Dunfermline to help them promote their upcoming shows.
According to the Dunfermline Advertiser, Craig Reid told a reporter from the Glasgow Herald recently that both brothers had been in bands since their teens, but it was not until they started to work as a duo in 1983 that they started to do what they really wanted to do musically. They immediately found that the songs they had written worked more effectively, and subsequently found major chart success with ‘Letter from America’ when it was released as a single four years later.
The Proclaimers will be playing the Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline on November 25 next year.
