Dunfermline to host tribute show to a musical legend

It will be time for residents of Dunfermline to put on their blue suede shoes this autumn, as the city is set to welcome a top Elvis tribute show.

Ben Portsmouth is the creator of smash hit live show ‘This is Elvis’ and has won acclaim for how closely he captures the sound and style of the late star. The show has been a major success all over the globe, and now he will be bringing it to Dunfermline.

Since first launching the show, he has performed in more than 20 different countries around the world. Most of these have been sell-outs, including in the West End of London and Las Vegas, where Elvis himself ruled the roost during the 1970s.

The venue for his Dunfermline appearance will be the Alhambra Theatre, and the continued appeal of Elvis means tickets will likely sell out fast. Local venues sometimes help to stimulate demand for their upcoming shows by utilising flyer printing.

This particular show features most of the songs for which Elvis remains famous. That includes the likes of ‘Suspicious Minds’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.

Ben Portsmouth told the Dunfermline Press:
“It’s fantastic to see such diverse age groups attending the shows. It proves what we already know – and that is just how much of a legend ‘The King’ was.”

‘This is Elvis’ will be coming to Dunfermline on 28th September.
