The Outwith Festival has become an annual gathering for culture fans on the east coast of Scotland, but the Covid-19 pandemic means that this will be the first time it has been able to go ahead in three years. The last Outwith Festival proved a massive success, attracting over 9,000 music lovers, and the organisers will be hoping that the line-up for this year enables them to draw even higher numbers.
The headline act on the Saturday night will be Fatherson, a band from Ayrshire who have been supporting Pearl Jam on tour during the summer. Another Scots group, Luke La Volpe, are also among the names booked for the Saturday.
Other artists who have been announced include Lewis McLaughlin (who played at Glastonbury earlier this year), Connor Fyfe and Pulled Apart by Horses. Flyer printing from shops in Dunfermline is one method festival organisers can use to advertise them.
One of those behind this festival, Michelle McWilliams, told The Courier:
“There’s going to be something for everyone – comedy, cabaret, author events, outdoor yoga, guided walks, outdoor drawing classes for kids and song writing classes for teenagers.”
It takes place from September 6 to 11.
