Andrew Chesher and Craig Whyte are both set to take on the annual North Coast 500 cycle contest. This arduous challenge will require them to complete over 500 miles of riding, along the coast of Scotland, and it is something they are doing in the hopes of raising £2,000 for the two charities they have chosen.
One of these is the mental health charity Headroom, which is based within Dunfermline, while the other is the Scottish Association for Mental Health. They will begin their ride in Inverness, taking in places such as John o’ Groats along the way.
In addition to fundraising for two charities they consider important, Craig told the Dunfermline Press that they also saw the bike challenge as a fun way to slim down. He went on to joke that he was regretting his decision slightly now, before adding:
“We’ve each booked five days off work so we’re aiming to cycle 100 miles a day to complete it. We both decided on May as that’s before the midges start to emerge and tourists begin to visit.”
Fundraising efforts like this one often make use of printers that supply flyer printing, to help promote them.
