This organisation is hoping to bring in four new people who will become official trustees, as part of its Plans to get Dunfermline going again once the pandemic is over. The CDT was originally launched back in 1903 and it exists to raise and provide funding for projects intended to improve the lives of people living in the town.
Speaking to the Dunfermline Press, Gillian Taylor, its chief executive, stated:
“We’re looking for people who have that passion for Dunfermline and we currently have a very committed bunch who give their time and experience to the board.”
She went on to add that they needed new trustees that would help maintain the legacy of Andrew Carnegie, a local philanthropist who formed the CDT. Community organisations such as this often rely on good-quality Stationery printers, based in the same area, for their administration needs.
Taylor concluded by saying that they hoped to recruit people from a variety of age ranges and backgrounds, and had a particular desire to get more young people involved with the CDT.
After interested people have submitted their applications to become trustees, the current board will carry out interviews before making a decision.
